Just Julie: It's hard getting back on track!

I am having the hardest time with motivation so far this year. I have ideas out the wazoo but when I have the time to make it happen I feel like I can't make myself lift a finger. Not sure what's wrong with me but I am working on getting back on track now.

First thing I did, which was not on my list of things to do, was re-vamp my personal blog and get it back up and running. I miss getting to post about personal stuff, recipes, sewing and crafts, etc whenever I feel like it. Here I try to keep the focus on cloth diaper related info and limit myself to one personal post per week.

So, here I am. Trying to stay motivated and get all my ducks back in a row.

How do you all stay motivated and organized? How do you stay inspired and keep your blogs going? Any and all feedback and/or tips would be much appreciated.

Thanks for reading guys!

I play Fun Monday every week on my blog (it's a rotating host but I'm hosting this coming week!) and then I try and post a couple of days a week, including a good picture of my little one and just a general 'how I'm doing' type of post as well.

If you're talking about overall organization, the key is getting rid of stuff you don't need. Start with a drawer while you're watching tv sort into (save, donate, trash). Move onto another drawer, and then cabinets, closets, garage, give yourself a set amount of time to do it (while kid is watching a short program?) increasing as the size increases. For overall mess, you can use the 15 minute clean up. Try and spot clean your house in 15 minutes, set a timer and then GO! You'd be amazed how much you can get done in 15 minutes if that's ALL you are doing. Another big one for us is 'never leave a room empty handed', always take your empty glass and put it in the dishwasher, stranded book back to baby's room, etc. My biggest problem is that my daughter clings to me constantly, so other than laundry or loading the dishwasher while she's in her highchair, I can't get much else done! I wait til evening or weekend when dad is home so I can do the bulk of chores. Any tips on getting a clingy toddler off your leg? I'm a SAHM and she's never been 'left' with anyone, so it's not like she's feeling abandoned or anything!

Oh Julie, I can relate! I have a million and one ideas too and same as you...when I do find time to do them I can't seem to do it. I feel like I am always behind.

Maybe that has to do with having 4 kids, homeschooling, and trying to keep up with my blog. lol. I wish I had more motivation too. I am certainly in a funk right now. :-( Maybe it's the winter doldrums.

Sorry, this wasn't very encouraging. I wish I had an answer for you. Hang in there!

Staying inspired to keep my blog going....there are many times I've wondered why I keep doing it. But, it allow me to share a little about my daughter with my sister and in-laws. They don't get to see her as often as they'd like, so at least they get to see a little.

Those are great tips! and even if you don't have encouragement it's always nice to know that others can relate to how you're feeling. I tried the FlyLady a couple days ago and it helped me get inspired. Since then I have tackled a few tasks a day, today I went through a bunch of junk in my closet that was taking up major space.

As for the computer. Sometimes I take on too many ideas at once and then end up working on none...I just need to prioritize and do one at a time. Don't start a new idea until I finish some of my others...

I understand how you feel. I always have tons of ideas for my personal blog and my diaper blog but never have the time between laundry, dishes, baby time, etc.
